Book consultation

Book a free consultation with Picasso Dental Clinic

Book a free video consultation with a Picasso dentist before you travel — submit photos, receive a GBP plan, and speak directly with the treating clinician to confirm your case.

UK patients can book a free video consultation with a Picasso treating dentist by submitting dental photos and a written treatment goal. A GBP estimate is issued within 24 hours and a video call with the treating clinician — not just a coordinator — is scheduled at a time that suits UK hours.

A video consultation with the treating dentist is the step between a written quote and booking flights. It is the point where a specific dentist reviews your case, answers clinical questions directly, and gives you confidence — or flags a reason to wait — before you commit to travel.

This page explains what the consultation involves, how to prepare, and how to request one.

What the consultation is

The Picasso consultation is a clinical conversation, not a sales call. It involves:

  • The treating dentist (not a coordinator) reviewing your photos and, if available, your OPG.
  • A verbal discussion of the proposed treatment: what will be done, in what order, with what materials, over how many clinic days.
  • An opportunity for you to ask specific clinical questions — preparation depth for veneers, implant brand choice for your bone type, timing for a staged case.
  • Honest clinical assessment of whether the treatment is suitable, whether anything should happen first (gum treatment, extraction, healing time), and what the realistic outcome range is.

The consultation does not replace the in-person examination. It is a pre-travel screening step that lets you and the clinician assess whether the case is right for Vietnam and right for Picasso before anyone books a flight.

What the consultation is not

The consultation is not a binding treatment decision. The plan discussed is a clinical estimate — the in-person examination at the clinic will confirm it, adjust it if new findings emerge, and produce the final treatment consent.

It is also not a tele-dentistry diagnostic. The dentist will not attempt to diagnose hidden caries, measure probing depths, or assess bite forces from photos. The consultation is for case planning and clinical fit assessment.

Who leads each consultation type

Case typeTreating dentist
Implant, All-on-4, All-on-6, full-archDr. Tran Thanh Phong — 15,000+ implants since 2001, first All-on-4 immediate loading in Vietnam (2010)

Full-mouth reconstructionJoint assessment; Dr. Phong for surgical elements, Dr. Nguyen for aesthetic planning

The coordinator will confirm which clinician is appropriate for your specific request when you submit.

How to prepare

Photos to send in advance

Submit before the call so the dentist can review before speaking with you.

PhotoHow to take it
Front smile, natural expressionStand in good indoor light, camera at face height
Retracted front view (upper and lower together)Use a spoon or finger to retract cheeks; aim for a full view of both arches together
Right biteCamera facing the right side, lips retracted
Left biteCamera facing the left side, lips retracted
Upper arch (looking down into open mouth)Tilt head back, camera overhead
Lower arch (looking up into open mouth)Tilt chin up, camera beneath

Phone camera quality is sufficient. Send photos by WhatsApp to +84 989 067 888 or email to [email protected]. Label them with your name and date.

X-rays (if available)

If you have an OPG (panoramic X-ray) from a UK dentist, send it before the consultation. For implant and All-on-4 cases, an OPG allows the dentist to assess bone height, sinus position, and obvious pathology before the call — which makes the clinical conversation significantly more specific.

If you do not have an OPG, the consultation proceeds from photos alone. Picasso will take its own CBCT at the clinic before any implant surgery.

Your goals in plain language

Write down what you want to change, what you want to preserve, what concerns you most, and what your budget range is. You do not need dental terminology. “I want whiter, more even teeth — currently have gaps and one crown at the back left” is enough to start.

What to expect from the call

A standard consultation takes 20–40 minutes. The dentist will:

  1. Confirm they have reviewed your photos.
  2. State their initial clinical impression — what the photos suggest about your case type, scale, and suitability.
  3. Describe the proposed treatment approach, materials, and approximate timeline.
  4. Invite your questions.
  5. Be honest about anything that needs to happen first (gum treatment, medical clearance) or anything that makes Vietnam less suitable than local care.

You will not be pressured to commit. The expected outcome of the call is that you either decide to proceed with a written quote and appointment booking, or you have enough information to make an informed decision to wait, seek a local opinion, or compare with another clinic.

How to request a consultation

WhatsApp (fastest): Message +84 989 067 888 with your name, UK city, treatment interest, and your six photos. Include your preferred call time in UK hours. The coordinator will confirm a slot within 24 hours.

Email: Send photos, goals, and preferred times to [email protected]. The coordinator will reply with available slots.

Free quote form: Complete the free GBP quote request — the coordinator will schedule a consultation call as part of the quote process.

After the consultation

The treating dentist’s clinical notes from the consultation are used to produce your written GBP treatment plan. The plan will include:

  • Proposed treatments by tooth or arch
  • Material and brand for each item
  • Estimated timeline and number of clinic days
  • Itemised GBP cost
  • Branch recommendation (Hanoi, Da Nang, or Ho Chi Minh City)
  • Notes on what may change after the in-person examination

The plan is issued by email. It is not a binding contract. It is the document that lets you compare Picasso with any other clinic on a like-for-like basis.
